Why don't the DEMS have a CPAC alternative?

The Republicans have taken a political action committee and weaponized it.

Why can't the democrats have an organization that is as well organized as CPAC? One of the reasons is the democrats are not ideologues with one leader and populist extremism views.

The democrats have a decentralized and some would say disorganized party structure.

Their reasoning is they have a bigger tent. But because of that they have too many messages. And the messages are lost in the mix and mash of what they are trying to say. Their losing the battle of eye balls and ears.

CPAC is like a Nuremberg rally. They are focused behind one central leader no matter how wacky he may be, to promote their rigid ideology. CPAC has taken what used to be a conservative organization and turned it into a rigid right-wing Christian backed organization with a monolithic hierarchy. They have one leader and a very narrow focus for members of their movement.

Although we have and understand there to be the principle of separation of church and state in our First Amendment, the right wing of the Republican Party is constantly taking every opportunity to move Christianity into the oval office with photo opportunities and statements from Evangelicals. They have been in the front of Republican Politics for decades and now they shamelessly parade church leaders on their stage to promote their leader.

The appearance of Franklin Graham at CPAC is star shining example of a so-called church leader promoting their leader, Donald Trump. Graham even frames Trump as the chosen one but God himself to protect Christian values. He praises Trumps policies has jumped in the election process with his urging for Christians to vote for Trumps followers.

This is coming from a man who does not work, but spends other peoples’ "gifts" in the name of humanity. This of course involves travel around the world directly how those gifts are spent. What he was doing in Santa Fe New Mexico the day I saw him, I do not know. New Mexico does not need his help.

I will tell the Christian right and their holier than thou followers you are not the chosen ones. Pete Hegseth can pray all day for the demise of his adversaries, but he still needs to send real men and women into real live fire to realize a result. Maybe God does not like Pete Hegseth because he filled with such hate.

Franklin Graham needs to go back to the hills and woods of North Carolina and find something to do besides grifting for money and stay out of politics. There are many souls that need saving and those that do the most probably do not vote.

The Democratic Party needs to get rid of the wimp label and toughen up if there is a plan to save our democracy. In other words, you need to copy the Republican Party tactics. They are following Trump and his followers over a cliff. It sounds impossible, but it happens. It has happened before in countries that are older than our own. The definition of our country was always equality for everyone, but the definition of everyone is becoming narrower every day.

Can the Democratic Party have an organization like CPAC? Yes.

But they need to find a leader and get behind that person and stand with them. They need a leader who will be tough and demanding. How can they find a leader like that? The voters will give that person authority. Because the democratic representatives in congress are weak and addicted to the opiate of personal power in congress. Their need for immediate gratification prevents them from seeing the future.

CPAC is nothing more than a revival meeting of spirit filled crazies who think they are the power of God in the form of human flesh. God help us.
