Yes, the Republican Party has been hijacked by authoritarians, and this is one of the culprits.
What makes Stepehen Miller so culpable in the transformation of the government?
To understand Miller's level of culpability, we need to examine his role within the Trump administration, particularly in shaping immigration policy and influencing broader governmental changes.
As a senior advisor to Donald Trump, Miller is instrumental in formulating the controversial policies that are significantly altering the landscape of American government.
His advocacy for strict immigration controls, including the previous implementation of the travel ban targeting several predominantly Muslim countries and the push for the construction of a border wall, reflected a fundamental shift in the United States' approach to immigration and national security.
Also, Miller's rhetoric and strategies often emphasized a nativist agenda, which sought to prioritize American citizens over immigrants. This fostered a divisive atmosphere in national politics. This shift was not just a matter of policy but also suggests a broader ideological transformation within the Republican Party.
This shift is increasingly embracing populist and nationalist sentiments in the Republican Party and in the Trump administration. Miller's influence extends beyond immigration; he also plays a key role in reshaping the narrative around issues such as race, identity, and citizenship.
His involvement in the administration's response to social justice movements and protests highlight his commitment to a vision of America that undermines the country's foundational values of inclusivity and diversity.
Miller's actions have also had lasting implications for the judicial system. The policies he advocates often face legal challenges that test the limits of executive power and the rule of law. The ramifications of these policies are being felt every day as new precedents are set that could influence future administrations and their approach to governance.
Stephen Miller's role in government has been to promote a divisive political agenda resulting in long-term consequences of the policies he helped implement.
His actions and the ideologies advocated are not only reshaping the government's approach to various issues, but also have left a not to be forgotten mark on the American political landscape. And that will be hard to unwind.
What does this make Stephen Miller? It makes him a dangerous person in the democratic government we have known until today. Stephen Miller may not be on the lips of everyone today. But in the writing of history his name will be there when pundits are asked to give us their opinion on what happened to democracy.
What’s happening is the Republican Party is going over a cliff and no one wants grab the wheel. Greed and fear are stopping them. Good grief! Look at any of them. If you owned a business that depended on good management and integrity, would you allow any of the rascals in the Trump administration to manage it? If you answer yes, you better keep both hands in your pockets at all times. Because your judgement in friends is highly suspect and you will have your pockets picked.
Think about it and be sure to VOTE!
