New Year. New Attitude.

OK. I get it. I have been away for three weeks. Why? Like everyone, I wanted to lay low during the holidays, and New Mexico is pretty cool during the holidays. I'm not talking about the weather. But mostly, I wanted to not think about Donald Trump and I wanted to take my mind in another direction.
Trump has only been on the stage for a year and it seem like this show has gone into syndication and is on every low wattage station out there. The only respite we have is the fact he cannot be reelected and will finally need to exit stage right.
I wouldn't know where to begin with Trumps bungled December disasters. The Kennedy Honors is probably a good place to start. This is a perfect example of his "I can do anything you can do better" maxim. Not only does he hijack the name, he has to make himself the center of attention at the event. The fact that people were already cancelling attendance and performances expresses the divided feelings he elicits.
Does that bother him? C'mon man! Are you serious? Moving on.
He still insists on blaming Biden for existing conditions concerning the economy. He cannot let it go and that maybe his policies have something to do with it. Things will soon come to a head when vendors who are importing goods from tariff countries stop absorbing the increased cost and begin pass them onto the buyers. I do not think most people are aware that is happening.
The healthcare mess will live on and if your healthcare costs increase, too bad. Never mind about all of those expensive healthcare commercials running constantly on television that nobody understands or needs to know about. I have always wondered why those commercial are prolific today, when until the mid-1980's they were severely restricted and almost non-existent. I mean, really the only people who need to know were the doctors. Maybe that is why drug cost are so high. GEE! YA' THINK!?
Fast forward. Now we invade Venezuela. Who did not see that coming? If you didn't, you do not know your history, which is probably most our problem in this country anyway.
For those who are not aware, Trump is using an adaption of the Monroe Doctrine. Not Marilyn Monroe, that was Kennedy. The Monroe Doctrine declared by President Monroe in 1823 that formed a U.S. foreign policy warning European powers to stay out of the western hemisphere. It basically stated that this was our sphere of influence and we would fight to keep it. It was Quid pro quo. Stay out of our yard and we will stay out of yours. At least that was what it was supposed to mean.
A number of presidents since Teddy Roosevelt have used the Monroe Doctrine in one form or another. But Trumps use of it carries with it a number of potential problems. It's great to get rid of another dictator in our back yard. However, what is the end game going to look like? Donald Trump and his committee of amateurish thumb suckers constantly want to use something and sometimes anything to keep us all distracted and not paying attention to the everyday problems of running our country.
No. They want to go "RUN" another country. That is really laughable. They want to trade the difficult, but not un-correctable problems of running the United States for the total fucking mess of running another country whose infrastructure and economy is at best third world. These guys are megalomaniacs to the umpteenth degree. The problem is, it is not just Donald Trump, it is his whole fucking posse. They are all nuttier than squirrel shit.
So., I spent the holidays pondering the future. I decided, I think I will go ahead and have one in spite of those fucks. Hey! You can have one to. I know if you are part of the 45% who are totally committed to Trump, you are in the cult camp and nothing is going to change your mind. Good for you.
For those who have half a brain or are the undecided, I don't understand your reticence but now is your chance to make a difference. Help to wash the Republicans out this year and we can start again with clean laundry. Yes, it will just get dirty again. So, we just wash it again. Jeez. I change my underwear every day. Sometimes twice.
I have heard some people say, well he is doing this or that good. Yes, I agree on a couple of things. But just because your dog only bites someone once a week does not make him a good dog. My response is simple. Why have the Democrats not learned from this or why didn't they correct those few correctable problems that everyone seems to agree with? Where are the winners instead of the whiners? Goodbye Schumer. Goodbye Jeffries. You do not speak for me.
OK. It is a new year and yes, I will have more to say about Trump and his schoolyard friends, but more than that I want to find some things that are positive for you. Think of it this way. The left has their own ocean to play in. The Pacific. And the right has their own ocean to play in. The Atlantic.
What could be better than that?
That's the fact Jack!
Think about it and be sure to VOTE!
