Mayor Keller is Not Our Feller

Nice guy? I'm sure he is.
However, Albuquerque is the result of patronizing politicians and unfulfilled promises.
There are two issues that make Tim Keller and the entire city council unqualified.
The debacle on Central Avenue that includes the bus system and the homeless people.
The addition of Bike Lanes all over Albuquerque.
I will start with the mess on Central Avenue because I had to drive it yesterday on my way home from Lovelace Medical Center. It was purely by accident because I hate driving every inch of that mess. Tim Keller did not do it, but he took on the responsibility has not attempted a remedy. So as far as I am concerned, it's his baby.
The only remedy for Central Avenue is to tear up that monstrosity and put it back the way it was 10 years ago. If you want to know how bad it is, do what I have done. Get off your sofa go to the bus stop on Central and Tramway and ride the bus from one end to the other. I have done it. I did a podcast on it and tried to be polite. Forget that!
Albuquerque has taken an iconic highway and turned it into a one lane disaster especially in the Knob Hill area, where help is need more than you believe. I can remember that area before Mayor Berry and his posse got their hands on it. It was a lively commercial area. It needed work but I and my friends would go over to Central and not be afraid of being murdered.
The only people riding the buses are the homeless and derelicts. This is so they a warm place to be in the winter and a cool place in the summer. And it's FREE! We pay for it! The buses are dirty and stink. Furthermore, they have more lanes for buses than cars. They have an express bus so the derelicts can get to other side of town faster and regular route buses. Insane!
Sadly, no one cares. The poor slobs who have invested their lives into their businesses on Central are just collateral damage in the on-going problems of the bums, drug addicts and derelicts who live over there. I say live there, because that is where the city wants them to live. You don’t see them on Paseo Del Norte.
The city has “corralled” them on Central. That sounds like a good idea unless you have invested in a business on Central. Central and Wyoming is the biggest embarrassment I can imagine. If anyone asked me about moving to Albuquerque? I would tell them “Are you fucking insane?” I will have more to say on this. But my answer right now is tear up the road Central Avenue and make the road the way it used to be. Round up the prostitutes, drug addicts, bums and derelicts and cart them off to the edge of town and dump them off. Have permanent buses stationed on Central to repeat it everyday they return, until they get the message. Oh, you say that’s not legal? Too bad. Do what Trump does and take it to court until hells freeze’s over.
Would you rather have bums living in Albuquerque or decent citizens who spend money instead of sucking it up like the useless refuse living on Central?
Now the number two reason why Keller and his gang must go.
Bike paths and the bike lanes that have proliferated in Albuquerque. I guess Keller doesn’t think we have enough ghost bikes on the sides of the roads. He has taken what used to be two lane roads and turned into one lane just like they did on Central Avenue.
And if that is not bad enough, we have bike lanes on major thoroughfares. Does everyone understand what a Thoroughfare is? It is not just a side street. It is a major road with vehicles driving at highway speeds! So now we have people who think because there is a bike lane on the road, they have the right of way. Yes, they mindlessly wheel along while cars and trucks zip past them at 60 MPH, mere inches from those bumpers on their bikes that will surely protect them from being rear ended. But wait! They have helmets.
I am having a hard time deciding who is more stupid. The government officials who sanctioned this idiotic practice or the moron bike riders who do not value their life or more important give two fucks about their family and what happens to them after thery are smeared all over the highway.
I drive to my office in Santa Fe everyday and I see it on Tramway. Close calls by inches and by the dozens every day. It is the most unbelievable test of wills I can describe. Bike rider versus car driver. And car drivers who love texting.
Tim Keller is a danger to society and by the way I am not a republican and I would vote for a friendly german shepherd before I will vote for Keller or any of the incumbents.
That is all for now. I will for sure have more to say later.
Remember. You still have the vote.
