Is Trump Lying or Embellishing?

There's the rub. No one knows. Everything he says is shaded in questions. Is he flat out lying or is there a scintilla of truth to it? Trump thinks he is the master of suspense and anticipation. Every waking moment for him is about him. He has to create drama using any platform and means he can get his tiny little hands on while working his devious mind overtime to make us watch him on any platform that shows faces.

The news media, being the news media, need content and frankly they don't care where they get it. For them, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. They know what he is and what he is doing. But will they abstain and not give him the coverage he so desperately needs? No way!

If we look at the time since his inauguration this term, he has been on some form of visual media twenty-four seven. He creates some issue somewhere every day to be able to inject himself into the story and thereby become the story. He actually finds discomfort when not the center of attention. It is evident during pressers or rallies when the topics have run their course and he should actually exit stage right; he can't do it. He has to stand in center stage and improvise on different topics to keep that attention even if it means he has to do a little dance a little jig.

The problem with all of this is that the news media cannot control themselves and report whatever he says, sometimes with the caveat of unverified statements and sometimes not. With his guaranteed retaliation with court actions the news media companies are in fear and will take his statements on face value.

So are we seeing actual news or just propaganda from agencies and individuals that have an agenda. When Trump comes on television and given worldwide coverage with his statements that there is success with this event or that event, is he manipulating the financial markets? And if he is, who would know. His family has many financial interests in a variety of businesses and can benefit greatly with any idea of what he is doing or saying with buying or selling short in the markets.

Does this happen often? Of course, it does and it always has, but not with such boldness or impunity. Trumps base and his cult followers have given him tacit approval for his behavior. This is a lifelong characteristic of Trump. The problem with Trump is that our adversaries also know him. Trump always projects the image of secrecy, when in fact he can't keep a secret because of his vanity.

He was a horrible businessman and he is a horrible statesman. His followers say I or we all have TDS (Trump Delusion Syndrome) a word invented by his followers to attached a moniker on our concerns and call us crazy. My answer to them is OK.

Maybe you're right. Maybe I was infected and I have TDS. For the cure, every year I take a dose of voting to ward off the TDS and Fascism.
