Can Anybody Keep A Secret Anymore?

I don't know anything about Mike Waltz, but I have a feeling he is not a bad guy. He is probably well intentioned and has his vision for what he considers to be the morally correct direction of the country. But, I think he became involved in the political power influences of Trump and his people and it was too hard to turn away. It is either that or he is a total waste of his 51 years on the planet. If by now he is not sorry to have become involved with Trump and his ilk, it has to be the latter.

​Now the IG of the Defense Department will step in review the use of the Signal chat and perhaps tell us why they were discussing military strikes that anyone with half a brain would assume to be classified information on a chat application, never mind that a journalist was added to the chat.

This is only an example of the privileged and laissez-faire attitude Pete Hegseth displays on an average day. Is there any wonder that subordinates would pick up on that? Top U.S. officials have said that no classified information was shared. That is ridiculous and anyone who believes that is believing anything and everything that is coming from this administration. The government and the population is being and has been dangerously divided into partisan camps. The country is becoming tribal.

We have always been divided on policy issues, but we allowed our representatives to thrash out the differences and reach an agreement that worked for everyone. Agreements used to be called agreements. Somewhere back in history the term “Deal” became popular.

Well, I’m sorry to say it, but I find that term shady and crooked. It sounds very low brow to me. Let me think now. Who popularized that term? Hmmmmmmm. I’ll think of it and get back to you. In the meantime, can anyone else see what is going on? Does anyone other than me think the division in the country is being created for a reason? Could there be a nefarious character who wants us to be divided and angry with one another?

You know what I mean. Blaming another group or persons for our professed problems. And then supporting and enabling that belief with actions that seem to validate it. Wait. That sounds familiar. I think there is playbook for that. I think it was written back in the 1930’s.

Mike Waltz and Pete Hegseth both should be fired. Are you kidding me? These guys are high school material. Would I want them to run a business for me? Fuck no!
