Ai-yi-yi-yi You're killing me

Is AI going to take over? It sure seems like it. AI is everywhere, even when we don't notice it.

The integration of AI into various sectors, including healthcare, finance, education, and entertainment, suggests it is becoming a more common and accepted part of everyday life.

One of the most notable indicators of AI's mainstream adoption is its increasing presence in consumer products. From smart assistants like Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri to personalized recommendations on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Spotify.

AI is enhancing user experiences and making technology more intuitive. These applications not only showcase AI's capabilities but also demonstrate how it can seamlessly integrate into daily routines, making it more accessible to the average person.

Businesses are recognizing the potential of AI to streamline operations and improve decision-making processes. Companies are investing heavily in AI-driven analytics tools to gain insights from vast amounts of data, enabling them to make informed strategic choices. This trend is evident in industries ranging from retail, where AI helps in inventory management, to finance, where algorithms assist in fraud detection and risk assessment.

In education, AI is transforming the learning environment through personalized learning experiences that cater to individual student needs.

AI is also being used heavily in the media and entertainment world. Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube use AI to analyze your past viewing or listening history to recommend new content. Others are right behind. There is concern in the writer’s profession that AI will be able to write whole entertainment programs. It has already been proven that AI can write complete books thereby creating problems for copyrighting.

The rise of AI also raises important discussions about ethics, privacy, and job displacement. As AI systems become more autonomous, concerns regarding accountability and the potential for bias in decision-making processes are increasingly prominent. Society must navigate these challenges to ensure that AI is developed and utilized responsibly, benefiting all members of the community.

Adaptive learning platforms utilize AI algorithms to assess a student's progress and tailor educational content. This is making learning more effective and engaging. This not only enhances educational outcomes but also prepares students for a future where AI will play a pivotal role in various professions.

We are using AI without thinking about it. We think that AI is about robots. Wrong! We use it when we adjust the thermostat in the house or office. Any use on the internet has AI involved. You are probably using AI hundreds of times a day without thinking about it.

The question is, how is it going to affect us all in being able to earn a living and or find employment? Are any of those concerns being discussed or addressed? Or is AI only being used as a revenue stream for those who need it to complete some type of business model and as all businesses ultimately do, they will use it to find a way to save money. People equal employees and employee’s equal’s payroll. That is an expense.

AI is capital and can be depreciated, and that is significant for the financials of business. The fact is, AI is so new and the idea of AI chip depreciation is so new that it was not long ago that it was a novel idea. Now there is concern in the accounting world over the splurge in investment and how fast chips should be depreciated. These arguments affect the balance sheet and the potential valuation of companies.

AI is here to stay, so get used to it. Get used to using and living with it. I do have sympathy for the older generation who have not been engaged with the technology we all use today. Technology is moving so fast that you cannot start at the beginning and starting in the middle is most difficult.

Maybe the easiest thing to do is go with the flow. Do not be in awe of everything you encounter. If it's new, learn it. Smile and say OK. Somebody show me how to use this or I'm gonna' kick some ass.

We all bitched at the supermarket when they started using self-checkouts. It took a year and the realization they were not going to go back before we fell in line and learned the system.

And now? We use it, Grudgingly, but we use it.

That's the fact Jack!

Think about it and be sure to VOTE!
